A new Leadership Qualification Badge will be available from Trading Services from 1 September 2007.



Who can wear the Leadership Qualification Badge?

This badge has primarily been designed as an addition to the Leadership Qualification Certificate which is presented to new Leaders on completion (including Young Leaders aged 16+).



Any active unit Leader or Assistant Leader can also wear the badge, whether they completed the current Leadership Qualification or the previous adult Leadership scheme prior to January 2000.



How can you obtain the Leadership Qualification Badges?

As with the Leadership Qualification certificates and books, the badges will be ‘B’ registered goods so will only be available through County channels.



How much to they cost?

The badges cost £1.50 each.



Who should pay for them?

Local areas will need to agree how the badges are funded according to their financial situation. The new badge is an excellent way of recognising someone’s achievement! It may be that anyone completing the Leadership Qualification after 1 September 2007 has the cost of their badge funded locally but that anyone else may purchase their own via the County.



Purchasing of badges and certificates

The badges and certificates will be available as individual items at Trading Services until 1 September 2008 when they will be distributed as one product using either of the codes below.
