FLAME 2006 - WET & WILD - NEWS & INFO

The deadline has now passed! No more camp applications please. We are delighted with the numbers. There will be approximately 800 guide/ senior section participants from the UK along with around 150 international visitors from every corner of the world. We look forward to welcoming them to Hampshire West. Over the Easter break we will be sending out the next mailing including activity permission forms and T-shirt order forms. We will also be updating the website with details about what is in each of the activity sessions as well as a timetable for further mailings/deadlines as the camp approaches.

SEINE Subcamps

Many of you may not know that this is the sub camp for the main FLAME organising team (and yes we know all the ‘in-Seine’ jokes will come). But I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my team for the hard work they have already put into the camp. As a team they have worked hard to book activities, source equipment and food at excellent prices and generally do all the things that many take for granted as they are all there waiting when guiders and girls arrive at camp. They are always thinking about what will make the camp the best experience for the girls. We are set for a full week of FUN!

INDOOR ACCOMODATION REQUESTS: NEW PRICES!!!!

Following the flyer and application form in the last Newsletter regarding Indoor Accommodation, we have managed to renegotiate the cost of the beds in the bedrooms in the main house for the week of Flame to a bed only rate as all those staying in the house will be eating elsewhere within the camp (ie subcamps, staff cafe etc)

The cost for a bed in the main house will now be £9 per night (£63 for the week).

Those who have applied before the 31 March deadline with be given priority for rooms in the house but if anyone else would now like to apply please send the form below to Julia.

Attached is the form to apply for indoor accommodation (prices are on the form). EVERYONE wanting indoor accommodation must submit a form (even if you have already placed a request) to confirm their requirements. Accommodation will be confirmed and an invoice sent for payment.
