Adviser Vacancies
ADVISER VACANCIES
I am currently looking to fill the following county adviser roles.
If you would like to be considered for either of them, please let me know by Friday 9 March. Angela Milln, County Commissioner
Senior Section Residential Adviser
Do you:
- Hold a Residential Qualification, valid for use with the Senior Section?
- Have experience of running residential events – indoor and outdoor – for the Senior Section?
- Have an enthusiasm for camping, which you’d like to pass on to others?
Then this role could be for you!
The Senior Section Residential adviser:
- Contributes to the organisation of county outdoor events, as a member of the County Outdoor team
- Promotes Senior Section residential qualifications to adults working with the section and to senior section members & works with the residential mentoring co-ordinator to ensure that those wishing to obtain these qualification are well supported
- Visits/makes arrangements for visits to camps/holidays.
- Supports the County Commissioner and other Guiders/ Commissioners in dealing with any Senior Section residential-related issues
Community Action Adviser
Do you:
- Enjoy helping girls to help others?
- Enjoy developing links between Guiding and other organisations?
- Think you would be good at hunting out interesting community action opportunities and promoting these to unit Guiders?
Then this role could be for you!
The Community Action Adviser:
- Actively seeks out opportunities for girls of all ages to get involved in projects which support their local community
- Maintains details of available Community Action opportunities
- Promotes Community Action opportunities to unit Guiders and encourages them to include Community Action in their unit programme
Assistant Public Relations Adviser
Do you:
- Wish everyone shared your enthusiasm for Guiding?
- Have ideas for attracting more people – especially adults – into Guiding?
- Enjoy talking to all kinds of people?
Then this role could be for you!
The Assistant PR Adviser:
- Will play the lead role in supporting Districts with adult recruitment and implementing Project 50k in the County
- Will support and deputise for the PR Adviser in other areas. This might involve putting together press releases, mounting displays to promote Guiding, producing publicity materials or helping with other PR initiatives
Walking Adviser
Do you:
- Have an enthusiasm for walking, which you’d like to pass on to others?
- Hold a walking qualification (or perhaps you are working towards one)?
Then this role could be for you!
The Walking Adviser
- Supports and advises unit Guiders – particularly in relation to walking safety ·
- Contributes to the organisation of County Outdoor events, as a member of the county outdoors team ·
- Promotes opportunities to include walking in the unit programme and promotes walking qualifications to adults
