Peer Educators

Peer educators are 14 to 25 year olds who help brownies, guides and rangers explore important topics. They use their own experiences to bring the subject to life.

Being girl-led makes all the difference

It works because girls are eager to listen to their peers who share similar life experiences.

Peer educators run fun, safe and challenging sessions which are developed with expert partners.

Hampshire West currently has peer educators trained to deliver sessions on:

  • Think Resilient - giving brownies, guides and rangers the tools to build their mental well-being. Developed with YoungMinds
  • Breaking Free - gives brownies, guides and rangers the tools to challenge gender stereotypes. Developed with expert academics, CEOs and charities.

More details about each resource can be found at

Peer Education Training Weekend -  28th to 30th January 2022

Do you know a ranger/young adult leader aged 14-25 years old who would be great at running topical sessions for Brownies/ Guides or Rangers?

The training weekend is free and if transport is needed, please get in touch. Plus, it counts toward the Ranger Gold Award.

I am happy to visit units to promote Peer Education and explain the role in more detail.

See downloads below for a flyer.
